I'm a HUGE fan of the visual and artistic elements of The Cell, and I actually recommended this show to him based on his enjoyment of this film. I STILL haven't seen the film however because it's gotten lost in my NetFlix shuffle. I'm planning on seeing it soon though. Tarsem FTW.

oh and FIRST!

LOL! Yes. You are the first to comment on this episode.
It's almost embarrassing to watch this. Kind of awesome how far the show has come in only 20 episodes.
Even funnier that we've suddenly gotten a bunch of request on facebook to cover it. Always kinda nice being a little ahead of the curve...

So it's been awhile since this review was uploaded, but I figured it was worth mentioning, the girl in the film is supposed to be Romanian. In the scene with her mother, they are speaking Romanian. It's mentioned in the commentary that they originally wanted her to be Armenian, but eventually dropped the idea because it didn't really matter where she was from and the character would just be from whatever country the actress was from.

Also, it's rated R because of some BS about it being a foreign film and having to meet different criteria to get a PG-13 rating.

If you haven't, listen to the commentary, some of the stories about working with Catinca are great.

Thanks Darrell!
At the time I think this was streaming so I didn't have access to the commentaries, but thanks for backing me up! Lee for some reason keeps thinking Catinca is supposed to be middle eastern or something...
