35 - Help Us Ring in The New Year With 'Noises Off'!

HAPPY TWO THOUSAND AND TEN!

We realized that we wrapped 2009 with a movie titled "hate", and thought we'd start 2010 off on a better note. We could think of few films more joyous than 'Noises Off'.

This romp features an incredible cast, fantastic editing, and some of the best gags seen on screen since 'Airplane'. With Juan, Marie, and Lee having worked in theatre, this film brings out some great memories (some funny, some terrifying), and with Dutch never having done any theatre, she was able to laugh with (and at) us the whole time.

14 - Weep Openly with Lars Von Trier's 'Breaking the Waves'

This week's film was a fan shout out:

Hey all
Love the show. I have seen a handful of the ones you have reviewed already. Have you seen or heard of the movie "Breaking The Waves" by Lars Von Trier? I personally consider it the best movie ever made. It is so great I don't even know if I like it or not. It emotionally guts you like a pig. Highly recommend it.

This is the first film of Lars Von Trier's "Golden Heart Trilogy", and stars Emily Watson and Stellan Skarsgård.
It's an incredible piece of film, but did we like it?

Juan also wanted to throw a quick shout out to a "blink and you'll miss it" cameo from Udo Kier.
Juan spent WAY too much time playing Red Alert 2...
